Give Yourself a Break, Otherwise Your Body Will Break

We all know that we need to take breaks, but it can be hard to find the time to do it. We’re often so busy and stressed that we feel like we can’t afford to take a moment for ourselves. But the truth is, if we don’t give ourselves a break, our bodies will eventually force us to.

When we’re constantly pushing ourselves, our bodies start to break down. We get sick, we get injured, and we feel awful. It’s not just our physical health that suffers, our mental health can also take a hit. We can become stressed, anxious, and depressed.

  • Learn to say no. It’s okay to say no to commitments that you don’t have time to do or that aren’t a good fit for you.
  • Take some time for yourself each day. This could mean reading a book, taking a walk, or just sitting in silence.
  • Schedule regular breaks into your day. If you work at a desk, get up and move around every 20-30 minutes (mark it in your diary)
  • Take a holiday. Even if it’s just a long weekend, a trip away can help you to relax and recharge.

Giving yourself a break doesn’t mean that you’re lazy or unproductive. It means that you’re taking care of yourself, both physically and mentally. And when you take care of yourself, only then should you be taking care of others.

Remember, giving yourself a break is not a luxury. It’s a necessity. So make sure to take some time for yourself each day, even if it’s just for a few minutes. Your body and mind will thank you for it.

I wish the image is of me, but maybe one day?
